What Do The Wellness Talks Entail?

Ethnic Wellness Talks are weekly group discussions led by Saman Aminullah, our South Asian Mental Health Representative. This online space is designed for individuals who are trying to cope with cultural shame, disconnection, or the fallout of generational trauma which may lead to familial pressures, cultural disconnection, stress, anxiety, and self-esteem issues to come together to vent and learn healthy coping strategies to navigate around these difficult emotions.

What to Expect

Expert Guidance: Each group talk session will be conducted by Saman, a mental health professional specialized in anxiety and generational trauma to provide insight and support.

A Safe Space: These guided online sessions are designed to allow you to feel comfortable to engage in group discussions about personal struggles related to cultural and self-identity, societal expectations, and familial issues

Digital Worksheets: Each group talk includes take-home activity worksheets designed to encourage mindfulness and personal reflection to help you build healthy mental habits between sessions

Small Groups: To ensure meaninful discussions, our group talks are held in small batches to make sure everybody has an equal opportunity to share their thoughts and receive individual attention.
