About the event

Intergenerational or generational trauma refers to the passing down of traumatic experiences or patterns from one generation to another. Generational trauma is often triggered by traumatic experiences endured by the generations before us such as war, abuse, genocide, migration, societal expectations, and more.

Join our interactive online workshop with Nitasha from the Brown Girl Collective and Saman, our South Asian Mental Health Specialist to learn more about generational trauma, its effects, and ways that you can break away from its chains and thrive as a South Asian immigrant.

This workshop will include:

  • Live interactive discussions

  • A mini-digital workbook with self-reflective activities to complete during and after the event

  • Mental health advice and coping strategies
